The New Seal Statement
At the center stands a skull wearing George Washington’s iconic hat from the night he crossed the Delaware — a symbol that his fight still lives on long after his death.
On the left, 1776 marks the birth of a revolution over a 3% tax on tea. On the right, 2026 declares that the revolution continues 250 years later. Behind it all, the frozen waters of the Delaware remind us where courage changed history.
At the bottom, a crossed quill and rifle represent the two forces that protect American freedom — the written word and the will to defend it.
Surrounding the seal are words of courage. “Freedom or Death” declares that life without liberty is no life at all. “Frozen Delaware Contingent” honors the patriots who crossed the icy river to send a message that still echoes today.
